Sub: IMO Structured Mandatory Training for shore personnel handling Maritime Dangerous Goods
Dear Sirs,
As per the requirement of IMO and directive of DG Shipping, Mumbai, it is mandatory for shore personnel, who are involved in handling Maritime Dangerous Goods, to undergo training by an approved institute.
We propose to conduct such training at Paradip during December-2012 to be organized by Dy. Manager (MS), PPT with faculty assistance from Indian Maritime University, Kolkata.
The duration of the said training is about 3-4 days and course fees will be as per the prescribed rate of IMU, Kolkata. The training session shall start at 0900 hours everyday and continue till 1800 hours. Study Materials, Tea, Snacks, Lunch etc. shall be provided during the training.
Personnels from Shipping Agents, Stevedores, Marine & Cargo Surveyors, Oil Companies, Exporters / Importers, M/s. PPL, M/s. IFFCO etc. are eligible to undergo the said training.
It is requested that nominations may please be sent to this office latest by 20th October 2012 along with e-mail IDs. After receiving the nominations, individual firms will be asked to deposit the course fees and date / time of training shall be finalized.
